Connected and Contracted Generators
Information on generators in Ireland connected to the transmission system, along with future connections.
Information for Generators
The following documents provide information on generators in Ireland. These are generators already connected to the transmission system operated by EirGrid, and those who have signed future connection contracts with us.
Electricity generators can be:
- Connected to the Transmission System (high to medium voltage power lines)
- Connected to the Distribution System (medium to low voltage power lines into homes and businesses)
EirGrid is the Transmission System Operator (TSO) and ESB Networks is the Distribution System Operator (DSO).
Lists of TSO connected and DSO connected generators are published separately by the TSO and the DSO.
Every effort is made to ensure that this information is correct but it is subject to regular change.

ESB Networks publishes lists for the distribution system. Visit the ESB Networks website for distribution information.
