Some of our activities need to comply with procurement laws. We use different procurement approaches depending on the monetary value of the contract. Our approach is always in line with procurement legislation (both EU and national).

EU Thresholds
Contracts with a value above the procurement threshold are advertised through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and/or via EirGrid's qualification system - Supply-Line.
Supply-Line is a qualification system operated by Achilles Procurement Services Ltd. and used by a number of contracting entities in Ireland including EirGrid and all companies in the EirGrid Group.
EirGrid typically uses Supply-Line to create Qualification Systems for Goods, Services and Works.

- Goods or services greater than €443k
- Works greater than €5.53m
- Social and other specific services greater than €1m

Tender Name: EirGrid and National Grid Ventures Economic Assessment of Ireland - GB Hybrid Interconnector Study
Tender Description: EirGrid together with National Grid Ventures, are assessing the benefits of providing a multi-purpose electricity interconnector between Ireland and the UK. To this extent, we have a requirement for a study to assess the potential benefits of providing the multi-purpose interconnector by evaluating several market benefits.
