EirGrid seeks expressions of interest for TSO Monitoring Committee membership

As set out in CRU/20/154, the Commission for Regulation of Utilities' PR5 Regulatory Framework, Incentives and Reporting Decision Paper, the TSO Monitoring Committee (TMC) for EirGrid in its capacity as Transmission System Operator (TSO) is to be established to provide independent and ongoing oversight of TSO initiatives that were not fully defined at the start of PR5 and as a result were deemed too uncertain to be included within the PR5 ex-ante allowances.

Per CRU/20/154, the purpose of the TMC is to provide an effective challenge to EirGrid TSO’s plans for and approach to projects progressed through the TMC. The TMC Terms of Reference can be found here.

EirGrid is now calling for expressions of interest for membership of the TMC.
