Waterford station energised in latest boost to grid

The Rathnaskilloge 110 kV Station in Co Waterford is one of our latest Renewable Electricity Support Scheme 2 projects to be connected to the electricity grid.

This delivery also includes the energisation of Rathnaskillloge Solar Farm, which will support an additional 95 MW in export capacity once fully operational.

his energisation is thanks to collaboration between EirGrid, ESB Networks, Highfield Energy, ib Vogt GmbH and H&MV Engineering.

The project highlights the importance of collaboration across the industry as we work towards our energy targets and bring more renewable energy onto the grid.
