New 110 kV station connected to grid in Meath, alongside new solar farm energisation
The Deenes 110 kV Station in Co Meath is one of the latest projects to be connected to the electricity grid under the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme 2.
This delivery also includes the energisation of Gaskinstown Solar Farm, which will support an additional capacity of 85 MW on the grid once fully operational.
This energisation is thanks to collaboration between EirGrid, ESB Networks and Highfield Energy Services Limited, and their main contracting partner, H&MV Engineering.
Collaboration across industry is vital, as we all work towards reaching our climate goals and bringing more renewable energy onto the grid.
