EirGrid to sponsor Dunmore East RNLI Annual Open Water Swim
EirGrid has been announced as the title sponsor for Dunmore East RNLI’s annual Open Swim Event for the next three years.
The RNLI’s thousands of volunteers provide an on-call 24-hour search and rescue service across Ireland and the UK.
This swim raises vital funds for the essential work of the RNLI, saving lives at sea.
This year the Dunmore East RNLI Open Water Swim event will take place on Sunday 2 June, with over 350 swimmers due to brave the Celtic Sea across three different categories.
- Challenging 1600m Coastal Swim
- Optional 800m Swim (following the 1600m swim)
- Junior 500m Event (12-16 years)
Welcoming the announcement, Sinead Dooley, Head of Public Engagement at EirGrid, said: “This collaboration underscores our commitment to communities across Ireland. EirGrid is proud to be sponsoring the Dunmore East RNLI Open Water Swim, in support of the critical work of the RNLI and their many volunteers.
“I would like to wish all the swimmers, kayak team and lifeboat crew the best of luck for what I am sure will be a fantastic event.”
