At EirGrid Group, we operate, develop and enhance the electricity grid and market, bringing power to everyone throughout Ireland.

In support of government policy, we have made a commitment to increase the amount of electricity we get from renewable sources. This is a key part of our 2020–2025 Strategy .

As a graduate, you’ll work with leading authorities in the energy sector to develop cutting edge solutions, making a difference to the future of our planet.

We recruit graduates from all disciplines, including:

  • Engineering
  • IT
  • Cyber security
  • Economics
  • Business
  • General (science, maths, arts and more)

What’s in it for You?

  • A two year programme with three rotations across our business (with limited non-rotational placements available, which you can express interest for at application stage),
  • an assigned mentor for support and guidance,
  • a permanent position following a review at the end of the programme.

You will be offered a competitive salary and benefits.

My time in the Sustainability team took in initiatives from tree planting to supporting EirGrid's climate reporting requirements. On the Group Regulation team, I am building my understanding of Ireland's regulatory environment and how it shapes EirGrid's strategic goals. The supportive culture, diverse opportunities, and meaningful work have helped me grow both professionally and personally, and I am excited for what the future holds for me at EirGrid.

As a general graduate at EirGrid, I can get experience in a range of teams across EirGrid. In Public Engagement, I organised community events, working to boost local support for upcoming projects. Recently I joined Future Networks, with a focus on future interconnection and offshore wind projects. EirGrid’s dynamic and supportive environment has allowed me to thrive professionally and academically.

My career in EirGrid started with a year long internship in Human Resources. I joined the EirGrid Graduate programme which started with a rotation in Public Relations, and I'm now working in IT Programme Management.
